A wise ass reference to the way Jose Feliciano (who was blind) sang the national anthem during a World Series baseball game some years back! In the future José or anyone else for that matter will likely not perform it as players are now free to take a knee. No professional sports team owner is going to want to go there so let’s be done with this custom as well. If that isn’t enough Francis Scott Key who wrote the song was a slave owner.
I saw the original star spangled banner that inspired the song, in a DC museum and frankly think that it should be returned to Ft. McHenry for display there! Just like the original Lincoln written copy of the Gettysburg address belongs at Gettysburg and not in DC either.
